Another 2 weeks into the year and just like that, January is done! I’m proud to say that I snapped a picture ALMOST every single day. It’s hard for me to get into routines, but I’m getting better and better as the days go on. Enjoy these photos from weeks 3 and 4. I accidentally posted 15 photos in my first blog post, so this one will only have 13.
/365 January 16th The boys brought these to the table at lunch time and set them up to watch us eat. Calvin (5) created two of them, and Ethan (2) created one.
/365 January 17th Something new lately…actually spending time concentrating on play for more than 30 seconds.
/365 January 18th He asked me to draw this picture…then he added his own special touches: Grass, a star, a heart, “bird seed” and a few other things…oh we each have a ‘heart’ on our bodies too, to signify all of the love we have in our hearts. He then proceeded to hang the picture on the wall. I don’t think it will ever fall down…
/365 January 18th Cheating and posting two of the same day…this was right before he did a flip over this bar on their trampoline.
/365 January 20th This is what an exhausted mama looks like right before bedtime…I quickly took this photo after realizing I had missed almost 2 days of pictures.
/365 January 21st Calvin has been playing family with this bunny ‘Lucy’ lately. Sometimes he dresses her, changes her diaper…and sometimes he feeds her carrots while he eats his breakfast.
/365 January 22nd/23rd My early February client sent me a text right around midnight letting me know it was time. This mama ended up having one of the fastest births I have ever seen! I always make sure to snap a pic of myself at births.
/365 January 25th I’m hoping at least once a month to pull out the tripod and snap a picture with these two. <3
/365 January 25th Buddy, waiting to come inside.
/365 January 26th I was the parent helper in Calvin’s school today. They have this awesome new ladder swing that they pull out during play time. Cal worked and worked trying to get himself up onto the ladder…it’s not easy! Despite looking sad in this picture, he was absolutely ecstatic to have finally made it up. I think he was contemplating his feat, here.
/365 January 27th We went on our usual walk to my favorite hidden forest and let the boys climb and play. Ethan wasn’t in the best mood, but he paused to sit with his brother for a few.
/365 January 28th This is probably the longest I’ve seen him stay occupied. He played with these ‘googly eyes’ for close to an hour. Carefully placing them one by one onto these blocks that he also carefully lined up. Then removing the eyes, then putting them back up. It was so fun to watch. I feel like he’s changing so much right now!
